Announce Partnership to Produce 7th Annual Italian Festival in 2020
Italian Association of Arizona Says Andiamo! to
Joining Forces with R Entertainment
Scottsdale, Ariz., (July 20 2019) – R Entertainment and the Italian Association of Arizona are announcing a partnership to produce the annual Italian Festival of Arizona next year.
The Italian Association of Arizona has produced the Italian Festival of Arizona for the last six years with the help of volunteers and vendors. Originally drawing more than 10,000 people to enjoy Italian food and heritage over a weekend, the festival now needs a larger space to facilitate the demand, add more food and drink, add a larger entertainment stage and sought a professional events team that can work to grow the event.
Frank Guzzo, Executive Director of the Italian Association of Arizona, said: “The association wants the festival to continue to grow and continue to introduce Italian culture to the metro Phoenix area in a bigger way. This partnership is a huge win for the association and we believe that tapping into the expertise of R Entertainment will steer the festival to be grander than ever.”
Initial planning indicates the festival will have a larger event footprint in downtown Phoenix.
Kerry Dunne, Partner, R Entertainment, notes the majority of Italian festivals throughout the country are typically held in downtown urban locations where space is available to host an event with larger crowds. R Entertainment also is focused on generating economic development and enhancing the tourism elements surrounding the festival.
The Italian Festival of Arizona is a family friendly experience where people can learn more about their own Italian heritage or simply be Italian for a day. Guests will have the opportunity to eat amazing Italian food and drink a variety of wines and beers, all while enjoying Italian entertainment straight from Italy as well as Italian American acts. The food, the drink, family, friends, entertainment and the opportunity to explore and enjoy Italian culture are at the heart of the festival, and, Guzzo says, the partnership will be a means to enrich all these experiential event elements.
Overall, the Italian Association of Arizona has built a strong foundation for the festival and, with the R Entertainment partnership, will now have the expertise to grow the event that over the years was built on lots of love and hard work.
Added Dunne: “R Entertainment is delighted to be part of such a legacy event with a vision to grow it.”
